Welcome to my corner of the internet!
I’m Ralph, born in September 1993 in the picturesque southern region of Germany.
While I currently work as a Mechatronic Engineer and live beside a beautiful lake surrounded by nature, my journey to this point has been anything but conventional.
This page offers a glimpse into who I am, what drives me, and the vision behind “The Eye of Mother Nature.”
The Wanderer’s Path
For nearly four years of my life, I embraced the nomadic lifestyle, traveling slowly and intentionally across continents.
My first two-year backpacking adventure took me through New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and China.
Not content with just one grand journey, I embarked on another two-year expedition— this time combining backpacking and cycling—through Morocco, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Peru, Chile, Rapa Nui, Argentina, Bolivia, Portugal, England, Scotland, and the Netherlands.
“Traveling slow allowed me to immerse myself in local communities and indigenous cultures, learning traditions and perspectives that textbooks could never teach.”
These weren’t just trips to check countries off a list.
By traveling slowly, I had the privilege of living alongside local communities and indigenous peoples, learning their traditions, listening to their stories, and gaining perspectives that have fundamentally shaped who I am today.
The Sigma Spirit
If you’re familiar with personality archetypes, I identify most closely with the “Sigma” type—the lone wolf who charts his own course.
I’m neither the dominant “Alpha” seeking to lead the pack nor the “Beta” following others’ paths.
Instead, I walk my own road, observing, learning, and making independent choices based on my core values.
This independent spirit has served me well during solo adventures across the globe, from navigating treacherous bike routes in Colombia (while fending off packs of aggressive dogs with a machete!) to training with Shaolin monks in China’s original Shaolin Temple.
My core values—honesty, respect, loyalty, and kindness—form the foundation of my character.
In a world where these qualities sometimes seem to be fading, I believe they remain essential building blocks for personal growth and meaningful connections.
The Seeker’s Journey
My quest for understanding has led me to experiences both extreme and enlightening:
– Training Kung Fu with Shaolin monks in China’s original Shaolin temple
– Scuba diving and freediving in waters around the world
– Skydiving and bungee jumping for that perfect adrenaline rush
– Completing a challenging downhill tour in Colombia
– Bike-packing through Colombia, pushing my physical and mental limits
Yet the most transformative experience came through my encounter with Ayahuasca, an Amazonian plant medicine with profound healing properties.
After an initial ceremony in Colombia left me curious but unconvinced, I committed to a proper 10-day Ayahuasca Retreat in Bolivia—a decision that completely transformed my life.
Through these ceremonies, I glimpsed what I believe lies beyond our physical existence.
Ayahuasca showed me the cycle of life, the realms of spirits both benevolent and challenging, and revealed how every living being—even plants—possesses a soul, memories, and feelings just like us.
The Nature Connection
When not exploring distant lands, you’ll find me deeply engaged with the natural world around me.
I stay active through hiking, cycling, and fitness training, but my greatest joy comes from simply being in nature—observing animals, watching clouds drift across the sky, gazing at stars, or losing myself in the hypnotic rhythm of ocean waves (an experience that approaches meditation for me).
This connection isn’t just recreational—it’s spiritual.
Since my conversation with Mother Nature herself during my Ayahuasca ceremonies, I’ve come to understand our relationship with the natural world in a profoundly different way.
We aren’t separate from nature; we are nature.
The Old Soul
Despite being born in 1993, I often feel like an old soul from the 60s or 80s.
I’m drawn to the music, cars, clothing, and atmosphere of these eras.
The values and convictions of those times resonate deeply with me, sometimes leaving me feeling as though I was born in the wrong decade.
This old-soul quality extends to my recreational pursuits as well.
When not contemplating nature, I enjoy the focused flow state that comes from juggling balls, clubs, and devil sticks—a hobby that combines physical skill with meditative concentration.
The Vision
My experiences with Ayahuasca and other plant medicines have shown me their tremendous potential for healing physical and mental conditions like depression, addiction, and trauma.
Despite their illegal status in many countries, these gifts from Mother Nature offer powerful therapeutic benefits that modern medicine is only beginning to recognize.
I’ve made it my mission to educate people about the incredible healing power of psychedelics and other plant medicines.
Through this blog, I share my personal experiences, discuss spirituality, and explore life philosophy —topics that, in my view, are deeply interconnected.
My ultimate goal is to build a community of like-minded individuals interested in these subjects—a worldwide network where people can learn the truth about psychedelics and find trusted, reliable retreats around the globe.
Looking further ahead, I plan to establish my own Spiritual Center, inviting healers, shamans, gurus, and yogis from around the world to share their knowledge and wisdom.
If you’re such a practitioner, I’d love to connect with you!
