What Happens After We Die? My Spiritual Journey Beyond Life

Have you ever contemplated what happens after we die?

This profound question has fascinated humanity throughout history.

Today, I’m sharing MY personal truth.

A theory that emerged from my own spiritual experiences and that I believe might be surprisingly close to reality.

The Soul’s Journey Beyond the Physical Body

During my transformative Ayahuasca retreat in Bolivia, I discovered that when our souls leave our bodies after death, we, our consciousness, move to a different realm.

This insight revealed something fundamental:

our consciousness, the essence that makes us who we are, is connected to our soul rather than our physical body.

This understanding suggests that after death, we leave our physical form behind because it has become broken in some way.

Perhaps through aging, illness, or injury to the point where repair is no longer possible.

Whatever the specific cause, our physical body eventually breaks down and dies.

The Tunnel Dimension: A Transition Between Worlds

When we die, we not only leave the physical world behind but also transition to the next realm of existence.

To reach this new dimension, we pass through what I call the “Tunnel-dimension”.

A tunnel-like space filled with white nothingness, an infinite-seeming expanse that serves as a pathway between realms.

The Happy Spirit World: A Realm of Pure Joy

The first realm we encounter after passing through the tunnel is what I call “The Happy Spirit World”.

In this dimension, we reunite with the souls of departed family members, friends, and countless others.

As the name suggests, it’s a place of profound happiness and harmony.

What makes this realm so remarkable is the complete absence of negative emotions.

Feelings like jealousy, shame, worry, and sadness simply don’t exist there.

No one wastes even a moment thinking about concerns or troubles.

Instead, everyone, including you, experiences genuine happiness.

People dance, celebrate, and enjoy each other’s company in a state of pure joy where physical forms and appearances hold no importance.

Time as we understand it in the physical world doesn’t exist in the Happy Spirit World, or in any other realm beyond our current existence.

The Reward and the Balance

The Happy Spirit World serves as a reward for being a good living being and for enduring life’s struggles.

The longer and more challenging your life has been, yet you still found the strength to persevere, the more “time” (though time doesn’t exist there in our conventional sense) you’ll spend in this blissful realm.

Of course, multiple factors determine how long you’ll remain in the Happy Spirit World, but explaining all of these would require a separate, more detailed discussion.

The Bad Spirit World: Facing Our Shadow

After receiving your reward in the Happy Spirit World, you’ll pass through another tunnel-dimension to reach what I call “The Bad Spirit World”.

A place many traditions refer to as “Hell.”

This realm serves as a necessary counterbalance where we face the consequences of harmful actions committed during physical life.

Your time in this challenging realm corresponds directly to the negative actions you performed while alive.

The more harm you caused in life, the less time you’ll spend in the Happy Spirit World and the more time you’ll need to spend in the Bad Spirit World.

This isn’t a place anyone would choose to remain in longer than necessary, yet it’s a realm we all must experience.

Everyone commits harmful actions during their lifetime.

The only variables are the severity and frequency of these actions, which determine the duration of your stay.

The Cycle of Purification and Rebirth

After experiencing the Bad Spirit World, you’ll journey through another tunnel-dimension to reach the next realm, continuing this progression through various dimensions until eventually, at some point, you receive the opportunity to be reborn in a different physical body.

I conceptualize this entire process as “the purification of the Soul”.

Before being reborn into the physical world, our souls must undergo purification.

We must become worthy of inhabiting a new body of flesh and blood or whatever material form awaits us.

This process completes the cycle of Life, Death, and Rebirth that many spiritual traditions have recognized throughout human history.

Beyond My Vision: The Greater Mystery

In my personal spiritual experiences, I’ve only glimpsed the Happy Spirit World and the Bad Spirit World that follow our current existence.

How many more realms or dimensions might exist beyond these remains a mystery to me.

What I know with certainty is that death in this physical world doesn’t mean the end of our existence.

It simply means that the body we once inhabited no longer functions.

My journey and your journey as a soul continues, moving on to new destinations filled with different adventures and experiences.

What Do You Believe?

Do you also believe in life after death?

If you have your own experiences or insights about what happens after we die,

I’d love to hear your perspective.

Is your belief based on personal experience, or were you raised with specific teachings?

Does your religious tradition offer perspectives on the afterlife?

I’m genuinely interested in what you believe and why these beliefs resonate with you.
